Wine flows as Australia joins the Swan family

More than 100 people attended a cocktail party in Sydney last night to celebrate Australia becoming part of the Swan family of luxury yachts.

The European-built yachts will be distributed by Nautor’s Swan Australia,  a new division of Vicsail in Sydney, long-known for its association with Beneteau. Brand manager will be well known Australian marine identity Ian Treleaven, whose wife Andrea wrote the books Letters from the Med and Letters from the Caribbean about their world sailing adventures.

“Nautor’s Swan yachts are considered the ultimate ocean-going, performance, luxury sailing yacht of unrivalled build quality,” a spokesperson for Nautor’s Swan Australia said.

“Another attractive aspect of the Swan brand is the camaraderie between Swan owners and the social programme run through ClubSwan, the in-house club for owners and guests. Other notable attendees at the function, held at the White Rabbit gallery in Chippendale, included Ian Oatley of Robert Oatley Vineyards fame, and Australian match-racing champion Nicky Souter. Robert Oatley Vineyards were one of the sponsors of the night and also sponsor Nicky Souter. Representatives from Nautor's Swan head office also flew in for the occasion.
