Second Sydney Yachts GTS43 launched in Singapore

Sydney Yachts and Hall Spars teamed up in Singapore to commison the GTS43. All went very well given the heat. The yacht was commissioned in 3 days and ready to sail on the 4th. The sea trials were a total success and the yacht was handed over to Steve in time for his launching party with his family and 60 of his closet friends.

Careful consideration has been given to all the details. The styling, quality and performance of the GTS43 is a shining taste of what to expect from Sydney Yachts.
Our GTS37 and GTS43 brings together the latest in design and manufacturing technology. Created for those who embrace the combination of quality sailing and true performance.

Steve Manning owner of Walawala 2:

I want to extend huge thanks to everyone involved in making it a reality with Walawala 2.

From the very beginning it has been an exceptionally good experience. The boat has lived up to the drawings and is truly a sexy new addition to the race scene.

The work from Sydney Yachts is superb. I’m yet to really find anything that is a major snag, the willingness to look at all options and share your vast expertise on specifications was great.

The shipping went very smoothly and the final home run in Singapore was smack on plan.  I don’t know if they ever saw such a fast turnaround in Raffles.

Please do thank Adam for his tireless work in Singapore.  It’s hot, humid and he put in long hours. Also do send my sincere thanks to each individual at the yard.

The boat looked every bit as promising as advertised during our initial work out over the weekend.  There were many admiring looks during the launch party and while we were motoring in and out.

The run up to Langkawi (500nm) will be a good chance to test all systems.  We’ll then be heading into the Kings Cup and looking for those podium finishes.
