Following the success of the Steyr Motors MO engine range, the Austrian manufacturer has released a new series of engines.
The SE range of 6 Cylinder Marine Diesel Engines has been developed to meet with the EPA Tier III requirements and features a range of technical improvements.
Major design features include a coolant recovery system, optimised exhaust manifold, tube stack heat exchanger with improved serviceability, 120 amp alternator as standard (150 amp optional), and variable injection timing.
All SE engines are said to be manufactured using the famous Steyr Motors monoblock design and patented 2-stage unit injector, and are also available with SOLAS certification.
