Keen to hitch a ride from Vanuatu? Why not go by Divine Wind

Many people sail in their local waters, dreaming of one day being able to sail across an ocean.

Well, maybe now you can.

Cruising Helmsman has received a request from noted doctor Alan Profke looking for crew to assist in bringing his boat back from Vanuatu and tick off one item from your sailing bucket list. Here is his offer:

Would it be possible to put a notice in CH about Divine Wind II cruising back from Vanuatu in October this year to Brisbane?

We have been doing mission work in Vanuatu after Cyclone Pam and many islands are still devastated. We will leave Luganville on the 13th October and will be travelling back via Vila, The Loyalties (Lifou) and New Caledonia to Brisbane arriving around the 29th October or shortly thereafter.

Divine Wind II is  a Beneteau 57 and we would welcome any other yachts doing this crossing or any crew that may be interested in doing the trip with us.

We can offer the Luganville to Vila leg, the Vila to Noumea, the Noumea to Brisbane leg or all three. I only have three positions available.

Thanks so much Phil in advance. I need to get the notice in asap so I can firm up those positions. As you know any work like this is directly related to our voluntary work in Vanuatu.

Thanks

Dr. Alan Profke.

Divine Wind II has been in Vanuatu recently distributing medicines, tarpaulins, nails, hammers, saws, ropes, food etc. Cruising Helmsman has previously reported on the good works Dr. Profke and his friends have been doing in Vanuatu. Now he is offering you the opportunity to bring his lovely boat home so it can restock and return.
