For 2011-2012, Fitovers Eyewear has evolved in product development and its online presence to meet consumer demands. The Nagari Collection has been designed to worn over prescription eyewear and includes six new styles without side lenses.
“This new direction without side lenses has been long awaited and has been very well received by optical professionals and consumers,” said Paul Stables, designer and president of Jonathan Paul Eyewear. “A younger consumer has embraced the collection simply because it looks like normal sunglasses and is styled and coloured to appeal to a younger consumer.”
The Nagari Collection also features optically correct polarised lenses, coated with multiple lens treatments, along with value-added accessories that include a carry case, neck cord and micro-fibre cleaning cloth. All models are priced between $74.95 and $84.95.
Fitover Eyewear has also launched a new website featuring a “Virtual Try On” application.
“The internet is a powerful tool to make consumes aware of our Fitover Eyewear philosophy and view our collections. Our ‘Virtual Try On’ system allows consumers to further qualify themselves to find the Fitover Eyewear that is most complimentary to their eyeglass frame and also see how they look on their face,” said Mr Stables.
By entering measurements, consumers can choose a style, frame colour, and lens tint. The system scales both picture uploaded and Fitovers Eyewear sunglasses to a person’s face, so the consumer can see exactly how the fitting will be.
