Denman Marine scores first export to New Zealand

Denman Marine Pty Ltd based is an Australian boat building company specialising in traditional and modern timber vessel construction.

Denman Marine builds custom vessels for clients but is also one of Australia's few production timber boat builders. A number of the boats they build come from the Swallow Boats day boat range of which Denman Marine is the licensed builder in the Australasian region. 

The BayRaider 20  is one of the most popular vessels in the range with close to 100 boats on the water both in Australia and Europe.  The BayRaider 20 is a self righting water ballasted day boat with great performance combined with traditional looks.  With the ballast in she will carry full sail in 20kts and with the ballast out she will plane off the breeze in the right conditions.  The boat is light to tow (650kg) and very quick to set up (under 10 minutes) and really puts the fun back into sailing.  The BayRaider 20 was recently introduced into the USA and has won numerous awards including the coveted Sail Magazines Boat of the Year award.

Denman Marine has recently built and exported one of these vessels to New Zealand to a client based in Rotorua.  Andrew Denman , Director of Denman Marine advised that there had been a strong enquiry level over the past 18 months from New Zealand and it was good to get the first boat in country.

The BayRaider 20 will be featured in the upcoming issue of CH magazine in trailerable boats under 25'.
