Bali 4.3 Catamaran on display at the Sydney International Boat Show

Dream Yacht Sales has announced they will have the new Catana Bali 4.3 Catamaran at the Sydney Boat Show from Thursday 30 July to Monday 3 August.

The importers say this new Bali 4.3 catamaran represents 'a paradigm shift in transformational design'. They say the Catana R&D has produced a rigid, lightweight, closed-cell PVC foam-infused hull and deck that 'outperforms typical balsa construction'. An “open space” design concept provides an entirely flush cockpit and saloon with good visibility in all directions.

According to the importers, Bali challenged naval architect Xavier Faÿ to design a lighter, faster, more agile cat with greater living space plus the expected added luxuries. Interior designer Hervé Couedel has leveraged the 4.3’s ample space into 'a tasteful, well-appointed retreat perfect for short cruises or year-round living'.

This is the first Bali model to offer two helm stations with the standard bimini or a fly bridge option. Cabin layouts include three and four cabin options. Other innovations include:

  • An ergonomically designed central platform with a clear sliding door opening up more than 30 metres of living space.
  • A generous forward cockpit area large enough to hold the entire crew.
  • A spacious sunbathing platform.
  • Self-sufficiency well beyond the traditional cruising catamaran with larger freshwater and fuel tanks, a backup power source and a large refrigerator.
  • An easy-to-operate self-tacking rig and an automatic reefing system for simple and efficient handling.
  • A shallow draft (1.2 metres) ensures the ability to navigate shallow coves and anchorages.

The Bali catamaran unites the best features of the Catana pedigree with fresh new concepts and designs, the importers claim. 'The result is an innovative, modern catamaran that delivers true comfort, quality surroundings and ease of operation and performance'.
