Australian Sailing November has special features

The November issue of Australian Sailing is now on sale in news agents.

As well as regular features such as advanced sail trim techniques, tips on fitness, masters sailing and crew work for offshore races, this issue has five special features of interest to sailors.

  • Bob Ross has compiled a huge range of tips from top sailmakers, which will help you get the most from your sails - big or small.
  • Sea safety expert, Genevieve White, explains what to look for when choosing a racing PFD, and we publish details of the major brands.
  • There is an eight-page feature on the wonderful Hamilton Island Race Week called "Cowes with culture", including some amazing photographs by leading boating photographer Andrea Francolini.
  • Glenn Ashby and Nick Moloney are two of the multihull experts we spoke to when compiling a review of multihull race boats, large and small.
  • The Optimist Dinghy fleet is expanding rapidly and we look at some of the reasons, and review the offerings of the three major importers - OziOpti, McConaghy and Far East Optis.

In addition, America's Cup winning tactician David Dellenbaugh looks at one-on-one tactics during fleet racing and Bernie Kaaks reports from WA on the enduring classic, the S&S34.
