Australian Sailing magazine celebrates 40 years with the August/September issue. Have a look back at how it all began and some of the covers since 1976.

This issue also has your guide to Rio 2016. We have all the information on the racing schedule and who the team is for the Olympics. Plus a look at who will represent Australia in sailing at the Paralympic Games for what could be the last time.

Will Oxley gives some very important information on sleeping. He has some great advice on when and how to nap when racing offshore – ever heard of a coffee nap?

We also have some advice on what nav gear to have on your boat, what spinnaker is right for you and compression clothing. There is some information on the boats at the Sydney International Boat Show and a look inside North Sails Australia.

Plus Beau Outteridge – also known as GoPro Beau – gives some advice on getting the best camera angles when using a GoPro on your boat for both educational and entertaining purposes.

Remember you can subscribe to Australian Sailing so you don't miss an issue. To get the magazine delivered to your door head to Great Magazines. To download it to your tablet head to Zinio.
